THE WAKE UP CALL by Alison Lager, LCSW CASAC

Alison Lager, LCSW CASAC is here to deliver you a WAKE UP CALL with her debut book!

After seeing too many men and women living a life that they do not want to live, in relationships that make them miserable and working jobs that are simply- mundane, Alison made it her obligation to create a guide to shake people from the "this is as good as it gets" mentality. As a psychotherapist by profession, a successful entrepreneur, podcast host and mom of four, Alison lives in a missional state of enthusiasm. Her primary desire is to AWAKEN the world from the slumber of automated mediocrity.

One might assume that Alison's eight years of academics, or her thirty years working alongside clients are what make her fit to educate us all on how to live a life of passion and help break us out of the negative blueprints of our childhood. WRONG. Through vulnerability, Alison explains the her greatest education in helping others has been her own experience growing through the challenges of childhood neglect and abuse, tragedy, and trauma. She has become an overcomer and that is what gives her the privilege to teach others how they can do the same.

Alison has spunk, tenacity and uses straight talk to awaken us all.  She is here to squash the belief system that we have all been taught -- hide your rarity so that you are like everyone else. She explains how the avoidance of standing out in the crowd is the fuel that lulls us to the path of the average. Then she provides a comforting yet direct hand to hold as YOUuncover what your life can truly become.

The Wakeup Call is not just a read it and done work. It is designed as a working guide with prompts and space for writing. Alison has learned through experience both professionally and personally that a pause with reflection is a power move for change. She leaves space for you to take a moment to write down the answers to the questions inside that will drive you to bring what you learn to action in your own life.

This book is for anyone who will listen and who wants to learn how to become awake and aware in the now without judgement.

A note from the author:
"If I can just reach one person who is awakened to the potential they have within them, coupled with the willingness to take this simple path within the pages of this book, then I have done my job.  It is an empty lonely place living in the dull state of mediocrity, silencing the whisper that is calling you to a better life. I am here to tell you there is a way home to your best self. As a therapist for thirty years, I see myself sitting with you, sharing what I have learned over a span of a lifetime. These are the real, life-changing tools that can be used in any situation. It is my gift, in gratitude for getting through the storm of my own life. I feel it is my duty and privilege to share the tools that continue to save me."
